About the Committee

The Education Sub-Committee of PCSWC supports Pakistani students in Australia by providing reliable guidance on education pathways, university admissions, and student services. The committee also works to strengthen engagement between the community, educational institutions, and the Pakistan High Commission.
The committee focuses on helping students make informed decisions by sharing practical information, improving awareness about the Australian education system, and promoting healthy community engagement through sessions and digital support channels.

Education System Awareness

We help Pakistani students understand the Australian education system, including study levels, pathways, and key requirements.

Guidance for Study & Student Life

We provide clear information on university admissions, course options, student services, and student life in Australia.

Accurate & Trusted Information

We focus on sharing correct and updated guidance so students can make informed education decisions with confidence.

University & Institution Collaboration

We work to build connections between Pakistani institutions and Australian universities, vocational colleges, and training centres.

Community Engagement & Support

We promote student-focused talks, online resources, and information sessions to support students and strengthen community involvement.

Key Responsibilities

Student Information Sessions

We organise education guidance sessions for Pakistani students in Australia and Pakistan to share useful and updated information.

Digital Student Resources

We develop digital resources and guidance material to help students access important information anytime.

University & College Coordination

We coordinate with universities, vocational institutes, and training centres to improve student support and engagement.

Official Support & Liaison

We work with official bodies and education stakeholders to strengthen cooperation and address education-related matters.

Policy Advice & Recommendations

We propose education initiatives and provide suggestions to the Pakistan High Commission and the Consul General.

Community Needs & Response

We stay connected with the community to understand education concerns and respond with practical guidance and support.

Convener Profile

Dr. Ali Khan is an experienced educator and community leader dedicated to supporting Pakistani students in Australia. He has strong experience in higher education, student mentorship, and international collaboration, and actively works to strengthen ties between Pakistani institutions and Australian universities. His focus is on helping students succeed and promoting informed educational choices.

We will arrange strategic talks and sessions at universities and forums in both Pakistan and Australia to guide and support students.

We will collaborate with Pakistani polytechnic colleges and TAFE Australia to support vocational training and skill-based education options.

We will run awareness campaigns on student regulations, scholarships, and education opportunities to help students stay informed.
