About the Committee
The Community Welfare Sub-Committee of PCSWC supports Pakistani community members across Victoria, South Australia, and Tasmania by providing settlement guidance, welfare information, and community support pathways. The committee focuses on helping both new arrivals and existing community members through awareness sessions, mentorship support, and community connectivity, while building long-term programs that improve integration and wellbeing.
Goals & Objectives
Establish Digital Presence
We aim to build accessible online platforms for information sharing, updates, and community engagement through social media and the PCSWC website.
Develop Settlement Resources
We work to develop settlement guidelines covering housing, healthcare, education, and employment, including practical do’s and don’ts for newcomers.
Build Community Database
We aim to create a database of skilled professionals and business community members to support mentorship, networking, and community support initiatives.
Launch Awareness Programs
We plan to organise monthly online sessions such as Facebook Live and Zoom webinars covering rights, responsibilities, and settlement procedures.
Establish Mentorship Framework
We aim to connect established community members with incoming migrants to provide settlement support, guidance, and professional direction.

Mr. Rana Shahid is a dedicated community representative committed to supporting Pakistani families and individuals across Victoria, South Australia, and Tasmania. His focus is on improving settlement support, strengthening community connectivity, and creating mentorship and awareness initiatives that help community members integrate confidently and access the right guidance when needed.
